Thank you, team, for allowing me to share the trip notes with you. I've grown much on this trip. Now, let me conclude in this grand finale e-mail.
Gods Uses Quirky Vessels
Each team member was hand picked by the Lord. As He revealed to Betty, "You are not perfect vessels, but willing vessels." Every one of us has quirks, a unique style, specific spiritual gifts and distinct callings. Some of us experienced friction with one another. In spite of our imperfections, God mixed us up and used us for His purpose and glory.
Team Leaders - Rachel and Tara
Rachel, a ministry staff and had not headed the Global Prayer Strike Force team on foreign trips before, demonstrated her leadership and led 30 quirky Christians through four Asian countries in two weeks. Tara was Rachel's young assistant and the ministry photographer. She is only 26 years old. I called her 'puppy.'
God's Love and His Troop
Holy Spirit reminded me in Thailand one early morning while I was thinking about my own kids, "I love these people as you love your children." His words gave me the boost to pray diligently for the souls God's heartbeat equates to. We must continue our love for the Lord and His people.
We are part of God's spiritual, strategic troops to fight for souls. He has the spiritual air forces, marines, navies, infantries, intelligence and supply lines, etc. We were like parachute troopers. God had sent other types of troop into enemy territory before. Then, He flew us in to complete a specific prayer task. Upon completion, He air lifted us back home. God will continue to send other types of force to fight the specific type of war in the specific areas He has designed.
God's Specific Words on this Trip
God also used specific verses to strengthen and teach me on this trip. May His Word (using the NIV - New International Version) richly bless you:
Psalm 91:13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
Luke 10:19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
Mark 13:34 It's like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with his assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch.
Jeremiah 1:10 "See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant."
2 Chronicles 19:5-7 He appoints judges in the land, in each of the fortified cities of Judah. He told them, "Consider carefully what you do, because you are not judging for man but for the LORD, who is with you whenever you give a verdict. Now let the fear of the LORD be upon you. Judge carefully, for with the LORD our God there is no injustice or partiality or bribery."
John 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit--fruit that will last...
1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
Revelation 5:10 "You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth."
Luke 4:3-13 The devil said to him, "If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread." Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread along.' " The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. And he said to him, "I will give you all their authority and splendor, for it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. So if you worship me, it will all be yours." Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.' " The devil led him to Jerusalem and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. "If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down from here. For it is written: " 'He will command his angels concerning you to guard you carefully; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.' " Jesus answered, "It says: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.' " When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left him until an opportune time.
Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Luke 16:15 He said to them, "You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of men, but God knows your hearts. What is highly valued among men is detestable in God's sight.
Psalm 131:1-2 My heart is not proud, O LORD, my eyes are not haughty; I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me. But I have stilled and quieted my soul; like a weaned child with its mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me.
2 Timothy 2:24-26 And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.
Ephesians 4:14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.
Song of Songs 8:8-9 We have a young sister, and her breasts are not yet grown. What shall we do for our sister for the day she is spoken for? If she is a wall, we will build towers of silver on her. If she is a door, we will enclose her with panels of cedar.
1 John 2:30 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth.
Psalm 74:20 Have regard for your covenant, because haunts of violence fill the dark places of the land.
May the Lord richly bless you and me to 'bear fruit'--fruit that will last. Yvonne
