Mom’s Dream #2 – Lake of Danger
Early Monday morning on 7/14, mom had another dream. I was in a woody area with some troops. We spread out, hid and rested in the bush. I did not know anyone. At a distance, there was a small lake or a big pond. It was close to dusk. One guy jumped into the lake. Something moved on the lake surface and the guy went underwater. I was alarmed. The second person seemed to be a soldier. He went into the lake and soon disappeared as well. A third guy in soldier uniform ran to the water for a swim. I shouted out, “Come back! Don’t stay there!” He quickly swam back to shore safely. At the same time, two hats surfaced in the middle of the lake. The first two were taken by the hidden monster, I assumed but was glad the third one escaped.
After praying about this, I sensed the 3rd guy represented Edmond. The Lord spared him to not being snatched by evil in the lake of danger.
Edmond’s Dream
As Monday went along, Edmond completed most of his home assignments. After having an argument with Sonya while playing card games, he felt frustrated. While napping, Edmond had a dream. In it, someone wearing Edmond’s red cloak attacked him. He fought and killed the enemy. Mom told Edmond to ask Jesus what the dream meant.
More Shots Fired – in Daytime
A short while later, Edmond heard the Lord: “He said I keep anger inside and I am stubborn. When I am upset I want to kill someone.”
“Who is that someone you want to kill?” Mom was surprised about the meaning of the dream. “Well, daddy…and…Sonya…” Softly he answered.
“Me too?” Mom was curious. “Yah, sometimes.” Her son whispered.
With slight numbness, mom took another great shock. Her compassionate, already two inches taller than her, yet only 13-year-old son feels so angry at times that he wants to kill dad, mom and sister – those closest to him. Mom thought she has raised her son the best she knows how based on biblical truths. TBN and PAX are two officially allowed TV channels in their Irvine home. Both kids have learned not to watch programs or movies with violence or witchcraft. How could her innocent son have this traumatic kind of dreadful and hateful emotions?
Nevertheless, mom thanked the Lord more. He had forewarned her what was about to come just four days ago. With dreams and His Living Words Father has been revealing secrets in the little boy’s heart. Then, mom can cooperate with Father to 'rescue' the little prince. At the same time, to allow the young princess to love and serve her brother, too. Things can only get better.
More Shots Fired – in the Evening
Monday night before attending a spiritual parenting class in church, mom instructed Edmond to continue asking the Lord, “What should I do when I am angry?” While driving home after the class, she felt the need to also confront her shock and understand more of her son’s feelings.
“God said I should pray and ask His help to take my angry mind away.” Edmond reported upon mom’s return.
“When do you feel you are so angry that you want to kill mommy?” She asked. “When you asked me to pray again and again (Saturday afternoon on stubbornness).” Edmond replied.
“When else?” Mom continued. “When you are so happy you look so fake.” After thinking a little, Edmond replied.
“Any other situation?” Mom felt ‘slightly’ ridiculous and asked for more. “When you are not happy.” Edmond answered. Saturday night when mom still felt painful she could not put on a smiley face. Edmond’s mood had improved but turned sour again when he saw mom had not recovered.
As expected, more worms came out the can. Sitting on the bedroom floor with Edmond, mom prayed out loud and asked Father to reconcile relationships between son and mother, son and dad, and brother and sister. She bound the spirit of anger and stubbornness, loosed Holy Spirit of joy, thanksgiving and peace into her son, and prophesied characters and blessings into Edmond’s life. Also, Edmond shall understand and help other young people who may go through the same growing pain as he has.
Lord, You Must Complete What You Have Started.
Tuesday morning on 7/14, in her morning worship and prayer, mom cried out:
Lord, you orchestrated this whole thing to allow me to work with you and help Edmond through this difficult time. Thank You so much for protecting and guiding us every step of the way. I praise You, worship You, exult You, extol You, magnify You and glorify You.
Father, You must complete what You have started. Bring us through and deliver Edmond so we can testify Your greatness. If You designed it to be a long process please give me patience and strength. If not, don’t let us miss it.
Lord, You are our ‘only’ help. I cannot discuss this with their dad. He may have four possible reactions: (1) hostility and rejection, (2) buying more toys to please children, (3) blaming me for the way kids are, and (4) mocking our beliefs and You. How will I purposefully cause mocking and yet hope to glorify Your name?
Lord, You know I understand You have used him to train me to disallow bitterness or guilt to enter my heart. I choose to forgive each time when facing blame and mocking. So I choose this time also. If the earthly dad will not help then Father, You are our only hope.
The iniquities an earthly dad or mom has passed onto their children Heavenly Father can remove. (Proverbs 16: 6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged…)
When evil spirits were transferred from dad or mom to the children, Heavenly Father, You can deliver us. Lord, sanctify us so we can glorify your name.
Lord, You’ve trained me in isolation so I learn to solely rely on you. You alone are our fortress, our refuge, our rock, our redemption, and our victory. Please complete the miracles You have started like what You have shown us through the dreams. We will give You the testimony.
Mom sensed hope and strength. A breakthrough was coming. She anticipated Holy Spirit to touch Edmond in the evening family time with Jesus.
One More Question
“How did the desire of killing ever enter your mind?” Before Edmond went to Austin’s house for the afternoon, mom asked. “He told me I got the idea through news reporting.” The Lord answered Edmond again through prayer.
